    No one connect box

First of all I like to say is this TV is good for the price but I’m really disappointed it doesn’t come with the one Connect box .only the flagship model. Now I have to take this tv back to the store and return it for a different Samsung tv that might have the one connect box .because the way I got my tv and setup I don’t have space with my cables I’ll have to change everything buy new longer cable. because of my previous TV Ks9800 had one connect box.I was trying to save some money by avoiding to purchasing the qn75q9fn. I think this is the only tv that come with one connect box. This really is a deal breaker for me y’all.

    Simply the best

Not an “expert” at all, but I have perfect vision, and I can see that this is by far the best TV right now on the market. Barely any difference with the higher model, that’s why I chose this one.
    Sound is also pretty good.
The design is beautiful. I configured everything to movie mode and deactivated all the fake filter/motion etc and again, this is amazing.

    75 inch beauty!

I have owned large screen Tv’s since the old rear projection type. It is truly wonderful to see the evolution of the Samsung 4K Qled. I own the 8 class, and it’s to bad it doesn’t accept the one cable like my last 75 Samsung. However, WOW! the picture is definitely like looking out a magic window. So clear and defined, my gaming systems look so much better. One other item to discuss, it’s internet connection. My experience has been a lightning fast connection.

This tv has a gorgeous picture

I love my new tv. It is primarily used for console gaming. The picture is bright and beautiful. The 4k image and hdr is top notch. Very happy with my purchase.

    Unbelievable performance

The TV was very easy to set up and begin viewing. I was concerned that a 75″ screen would not be as sharp as smaller sets, but was I surprised. The clarity was fantastic. The added features were a big plus. This is my third Samsung. You can’t go wrong with a Samsung.

    Outstanding performance and picture

After researching and reading all reviews i chose Samsung. You can’t compare other TV’s with the picture sound and easy to use remote. It was very easy to set up coming out of the box to hooking all cables.
The TV is quit no sound of fans blowing. The color is the best i’ve seen.
They only thing i wish they wouldn’t have changed on the 2018 model was the TV stand. I really didn’t like the new TV stands.

Amazing picture, Great features, Easy to setup!

Blown Away! I Love My First Samsung TV So happy with my purchase! I was looking to replace an old TV with a new Smart TV. I heard about this TV from a friend that really loved its performance and technology. I’m so glad I went with the recommendation. First, I’m blown away by the High Definition and Color! I can’t believe what I was missing all this time with my old TV. The picture is high quality from edge to edge and the colors are so bright and realistic. What’s also incredible is the depth of the black and shades of black. They really enhance the quality of the image. I tested out the TV with several 4K movies to see how it would perform and they look amazing on this! You can see all details and the images are so crisp! It looks like a live image. You can even see all of the shadows and detail even with some of the darker programs, even in a bright room. I was re-watching the Avatar movie and it looked so fantastic on this TV. Second, the speakers deliver such deep and rich sound quality. No need for surround sound system with this TV. Also, the TV set up is so intuitive and easy. I’m not tech savvy and it’s great that the TV is so easy to set up. It automatically connected to my home network and guided me through a few steps to get our Netflix, Prime TV, HULU and YouTube set up. The remote control is streamlined and also super easy to use. I haven’t used the app yet but excited for the option. This TV is SIMPLY BEAUTIFUL! The TV itself is so thin and beautiful to look at! The border is so thin the picture looks like it goes from edge to edge. Samsung delivers a fantastic, high quality product with the Q8 QLED. So happy I made this purchase!

    Stunning absolutely stunning!

I won’t get into the technical aspects of the tv, you can read that yourself anywhere. Words cannot describe how truly amazing this tv is.
The clarity and vivid colors make for a remarkable viewing experience. Rich sounds come from this unit as well. We added the Samsung soundbar underneath, it rocks.

Great Q8FN, Problems with Help Desk and Wall Mount

Previous TV was a Samsung 65 “so I am not surprised with picture quality or operation. Samsung Tech support/Chat Failed me on a couple of occasions. I called and ordered a wall mount, I was told to order WMN M22EB/ZA. This did not work because a door must be removed to allow the Wall Mount to sit in a recess on the TV. I do not have a recess on the Q8FN I tolded them that very strongly. I was treated like an end user who had no idea what he was talking about. I resolved my problem by ordering a VESA kit from AMAZON and I used my old Wall Mount from my 65″ TV mounted it on my Q8FN. To resolve this issue for a Wall Mount you will need to use an OEM Wall Mount and Check their bolts for the correct size (correct size is listed in the USER MANUEL page 7). I am happy with my Q8F 75”, Help Desk not so much.

    Overhyped — caveat emptor!

On one hand, the picture quality of the 8F is excellent.
On the other, Samsung has completely overhyped this product, as it doesn’t do what Samsung claims it does.

    Examples:

Ambient Mode — this is a bad joke. To do anything but use the lame stock images, you have to use SmartThings. But even though these TV’s have been out for months (and Samsung continues to loudly tout the wonders of Ambient Mode) SmartThings iOS doesn’t work with Ambient Mode, Samsung Android only kinda does, and SmartThings CS can’t / won’t say when (if ever) it will fix it. Given the lack of updates on it, it appears that Samsung is abandoning even trying to fix or support Ambient Mode . . . but it continues to tout its wonders.
ARC Sound — even when you are using a Samsung Soundbar, the sound will cut out randomly when you connect via HDMI ARC Sound. Read the threads over at Samsung Community on this — Samsung engineers acknowledge that this is a problem that they don’t have a fix for it, but claim that’s just how HDMI sound works. (As has been pointed out in the comments there, that’s 100% garbage . . . Sony, LG, Visio, and even older Samsung TV’s don’t have this problem. Samsung apparently knows it has a hardware design problem here that they can’t fix with a firmware update, and so rather than recall the sets to fix it they’re just claiming “it’s not a bug, it’s a feature.”)
One Remote — No, despite the claims to the contrary One Remote won’t eliminate the need for other remotes. If you have a Samsung Soundbar, for instance, you’d expect that One Remote would allow you to consign the Soundbar remote to a drawer somewhere. Nope. You have to power the Soundbar on BEFORE you turn on the TV for ARC sound to connect (which it does only sporadically), and to do that you need . . . the Soundbar remote, because there’s no way to program One Remote to turn on an ARC Sound (HDMI-connected) Soundbar. C’mon, the tech to allow a user to program a remote has only been around for, what, 20 years?

Heck, Samsung can’t even get the features of this TV correct on its webpage. For example, Samsung’s website for its proprietary “No Gap” wall mount shows that the Q8FN is compatible. In fact, it’s not. Making matters worse, after I got burned by this and brought this to Samsung’s attention, Samsung CS essentially told me “yes, you are correct, it’s not compatible, and the website saying that it is is wrong and misleading. Tough luck that you spent your money on one.” And to this day the website still shows the Q8FN as compatible!

I’d been a Samsung customer for over 30 years. After getting burned on the 75Q8FN, never again.

    Incredible Picture

Best TV I’ve ever owned, and much better than I expected in terms of picture quality. I would absolutely buy this again, and after seeing my Q8 OLED TV, a friend purchased the very same model and loves his just as my wife and I love ours. I also purchased a new Samsung 4K Blue Ray player which works with this Q8 TV in an intuitive and seamless manner; very cool combination.

Two downsides. First, there is one performance issue. While the quality of the TV sound is good, the volume is not very loud (can barely hear some cable movies). My old Samsung plasma TV had much louder sound, although of lesser sound quality). I therefore consider an aftermarket sound system to be a must. I have my eyes on the new Samsung HW-N950 sound-bar, and have every expectation that it will work seamlessly with the TV, just as the Samsung blue ray player does. Second, there is one feature issue. The remote is a bit too simple and non-intuitive for my taste. I find myself using the remote for my satellite dish for most daily use functions, or the my old Samsung plasma TV remote.

I would definitely buy this TV again.

    Awesome Performance.

Purchased in August 2018 and installed it in September. Installation was easy and fast. This model installation requires a little homework to mount it. The Q8FN performs great and I love it.

    Not as advertised. Very disappointed.

I have had this for a few weeks now and the flaws are evident. The quality of the tv is impressive… for the newbies. If you enjoy your tv experience you will see the defaults coming in fast. Maybe I have a lemon but blurs arounds moving shapes, difficulty to process low light scenes or smoke environment makes this TV not worth the price tag. I am personally very disappointed.

Great 4k but disappointed with sports

4K content is amazing. Features on tv are outstanding and smart hub is easy to use. Set up was extremely easy. But I have to say that I am disappointed with the picture quality when watching sports. I am still trying to adjust the settings to find a suitable picture quality but no luck thus far.

    Issues with HDMI-ARC and auto-dimming, I’ll return

I had the 75″ model for a couple of month and it has two big issues that are making it almost unusable for me.

    1) The HDMI-ARC feature where your AV Receiver is supposed to wake up the TV doesn’t work, by design. The internet is full of threads on this subject. Basically you have to separately turn on/off the TV and the Receiver like back in the 90’s.

    2) The auto-dimming “feature” dims the entire screen to unusable levels during dark scenes. Everything fades to black, including subtitles, to the point where you cannot read the subtitles anymore. You cannot turn this “feature” off, basically it’s poor design. Again, you can find tens of posts on the web with frustrated people regretting their purchase.

I will return the TV and if Samsung makes it hard, I will take them to court. I didn’t pay $3,500 to have to deal with this.

    Bad Light Bleeding/Clouding

I bought this 6 days ago and the uniformity and blotchy picture if horrible. I’ve ran several tests and I can say this is by far the worst TV picture I’ve ever seen.
