    The Future is Beautiful..

If you truly had any issues with the 2017 version of the QLED, I’m asking that you PLEASE try the 2018. As the previous reviewer wrote, the fact that Samsung has protected from burn in with OLED’s by not only upgrading the tech, but also WARRANTYING the fact says it all. I have been using the TV with my Xbox One X 4k capabilities and the outcome is strictly amazing (try Mad Max:Fury Road with this gem)!! The colors and blacks truly are represented in this model and I dare you to compare it to any other QLED or OLED TV. This thing holds its own against all comers!

Cool as the other side of the pillow….

Supercalifragilisticexpialidocious…The End. Oh you need more, trust me you really don’t. The definition of that wonderful word is just that…wonderful. Just as everything about the Q8F is strictly wonderful. From the easy setup, to the menu prompts, to the crisp HDR presentation….everything is just pristine. This TV brings so much to the table that even though I’ve had it for almost three weeks now, I’m still discovering things daily.
The colors on this TV are simply Mind Boggling. When watching a movie such as Return of the Jedi, it was like watching it again for the first time. With minimal blooming and bleed, this TV gives you ALL the picture and fluidity like I’ve never seen before.
One of the best features for all of us absent minded, remote losing individuals is that by connecting your external electronics (such as the awesome Xbox One X), the TV automatically recognizes them and switches them on and off with the TV, very handy!! As well the different visual modes to watch the TV brings a whole different dynamic to each program you watch, whether movies or sports.
While it may go unnoticed, the Ambient Mode is strictly amazing. This mode makes my Q8F the Predator of TV’s, and I LOVE it. This TV is all that and more…now this is the end 😉

I love this TV! It is so clear and beautiful! The colors are very vivid, making everything look great from nature shows to sports. The Ambient mode is very cool. You can have a work of art or the current weather on the screen when the TV is not in use. I also love the remote. If i can’t find the cable remote, no problem! This remote will do just about everything and even better…it has bixby! If you have a Galaxy phone, you know how awesome Bixby is! You can ask the TV anything and it will look it up or do it for you. One of my favorite things…it syncs with the Smart Things app on my galaxy phone. Why is this great? Because if you have other Smart Things, it will give you notifications about them right on the screen! I had the Samsung POWERbot cleaning, and it got caught on something and I was notified on the TV screen! How awesome is that?! Since having a baby, my husband and I don’t get to the movies anymore, but with this TV, we don’t even want to go to the theater! Movies look awesome on it! Also, it connects with my Amazon prime account and Netflix, making everything really easy and convenient! I can’t say enough great things about this TV!

    An awesome TV experience

Our family is really enjoying our new QLED Q8F. First off the 65′ is great. I’ve been wanting a larger TV for quite some time and am super happy with the 65′. Also the picture quality and colors of the TV are amazing. Simply beautiful. I really enjoy how simplistic the remote is. Its a small lightweight remote but handles everythign you need it to handle. I love the easy access ‘smart’ menu where you would access all your apps and/or smart hub. There are some neat reviews that I’ve read lately where you can customize the TV to your likely in regards to picture/sound settings. Im excited to try some of those. Our whole family loves the TV and people who come to the house are also amazed on how cool it looks. Cant wait to start family movie nights on our new tv

    I can have it all

With Samsung’s 2018 QLED TV I can have it all. Not only is it perfectly designed and crafted to catch anyone’s attention and immediately fall in love. With the Q HDR not only does the QLED TV display vibrant, realistic colors but it also produces stunning contrast that delivers beautiful bold blacks that make all of your content look pristine, detailed and all so real. While watching this beautiful display, the SmartThings make your TV enjoyment one of a kind. SmartThings gives the user the ability to connect to my appliances, phone and even check my security camera all from my QLED TV. In addition, Bixby add’s to the smart TV experience. With a press of a button, Bixy is ready to always assist me when I need the weather, find a show, switch a channel and play music. Samsung has also turned my TV into a centerpiece in my home. No more having a black blank screen in the middle of the living room, the QLED features Ambient Mode, this feature blends the QLED TV into my living room wall perfectly by displaying beautiful pictures, the weather and even sets the mood with the music of my choice when the TV is not in content use. Overall, with the QLED TV, I can indeed have it all!

    Almost perfect – great TV

The Samsung QLED Q8F is a fantastic TV. I’ve had the opportunity to experience this TV for the last two weeks and everyone who has seen it has been impressed by both how it is designed as well as the picture quality.

Set up: Not a whole lot to say here other than this was the easiest smart television I’ve ever set up. You can pretty much just plug it in and get started. The remote is very intuitive and easy to use and once you link the TV to your wifi you’ll be able to easily download the apps you want. There are a number of settings available for those advanced users but I left everything on the default settings and was thrilled.

Picture quality and user interface: The Samsung QLED 8QF delivers some of the best colors and clarity I’ve seen on any television. I have last year’s model and I think this one is noticeably better. The automatic dimming is something I’m getting used to but it is a nice feature that adjusts the brightness of the display depending on the lighting in the room. If the lighting is changing it can be a bit annoying but I decided the feature was worth keeping on. Although most content isn’t displayed at 4k, you’ll definitely appreciate how crisp the picture is when you watch high quality content online or through blu-ray.

Sound: I feel the sound that is built into this television is also on par with or better than just about any other television I’ve seen or used before. That said, because this television is worth of being the centerpiece to any media room, I’d recommend hooking this up with a surround sound system for an even more immersive experience.

Pros: Incredibly easy set-up, intuitive user interface, voice-control remote (that actually works!), fantastic picture quality, automatic dimming, nice built-in speakers, ability to control the TV from your smartphone.

Cons: This model does not come with the one-connect option which allows you to hide your HDMI cables easier by plugging in your devices to a separate box. My prior year model had this and it’s a feature I really miss. The apps on this TV are also more limited than those I could download on the prior year model. NBC Sports and a few other heavily used apps are not available on this TV for some reason. HBO wasn’t available at first but did show up about a week after I started using the TV.

Summary: The pro’s definitely outweigh the cons and I really enjoy this TV. It’s picture quality is top of the line and it is easy to set up and use by anyone.

Beautiful TV – Constant Restarts in HDR+ Mode

I wish I could give 5 stars and recommend this product but the TV is plagued by constant reboots when using HDR+ mode. It is also having issues with the Full Array Local Dimming and Motion, these issues are probably all related. Hopefully its just a firmware issue and Samsung fixes it, until then I can’t give it 5 stars.

The picture, when it isn’t restarting all the time, is beautiful. This is the first LED TV that I have owned that can actually have blacks on screen instead of dark dark greys. It handles reflections really well and when the HDR+ mode works, SDR content looks amazing. This TV gets very bright and once you set it to Movie mode or HDR+ mode and tweak the settings it looks amazing. Very close to OLED, not quite but it is very close. Image quality and 4K upscaling is done very well.

Really hoping the fix the FALD issues, the motion problems and the restarts. Its looking like its a Firmware 1057 problem so hopefully they can fix it. If not, I guess I’m testing out their warranty program.

First of the local dimming is fantastic. A huge improvement compared to the KS8000/9000 and last years Q8/9. Contrast is much higher than the other TV’s I mentioned and clouding is less of an issue. Colors have also improved slightly and motion is better. overall this TV is awesome and I have enjoyed the TV since my purchase. The only problem I have with the TV, and its not really a problem just a software issue, is the local dimming. If my TV is not set in movie mode the local dimming can be a little off, but with a firm ware update they can fix the local dimming. Once they do this the TV will be nearly perfect.

    Deep rich colors.

I was blown away the deep and rich colors the Samsung Q8F produced. The Q8F also gets very bright without washing out colors like other TV. With my old DLP, it was difficult to see during the day because my family room gets a lot light during the afternoon. No problems with the Q8F.

Playing video games is where the Q8F really excels. It reveals lighting, details and visual effects that I never noticed before when playing on other displays. It’s like going from SD to HD. It’s not just the higher resolution but the wider color gamut and contrast that create an amazing image. All this combined creates an image that has a slightly 3Dish effect. Images seem to have a little more depth.

My only complaints are that I did have to turn off the auto frame rate control and the brightness out of the box is a little too bright for me. With frame rate set to “Auto” games seem to be super smooth for a few seconds then jittery for a slight second. Manually setting the control seems to keep the video smoother throughout. The remote while simple and functional is a little small for me and just doesn’t seem to match up to the TV. I’m looking forward to putting the Q8F through more tests in the next few days if I can get the kids to stop playing Mario Kart.

    almost too lifelike

I love this television more than I thought I could ever love one! The tv was very easy to set up. The picture quality is great; especially when it comes to streaming. I still have a lot of things to learn about this television. I do like the remote but it is small and I am so afraid of losing track of it. I do like voice control option; especially when I can’t think of a name of the movie I am wanting to watch. I was a bit disappointed that it did not have a hidden fiberoptic input however. Non streaming tv is not as good as the streaming but most of my tv viewing is streaming however. I do like that I can connect all my devices including my gaming console and it picks it up easily. I especially like watching nature shows as the colors are outstanding.

    Illuminating experience

I really have to say that the picture quality surpasses that of many other flatscreen televisions offered today and this TV is by far the best picture quality we have ever had in our home. It brings a feeling that you are part of the show in a show like the walking dead and is great for darker shows where everything looks difficult to interpret because lack of color definition. This television gives a crisper image and more vivid color altogether. We love playing games on our PS3 because it looks like the characters are jumping off the screen at you. Role playing games look so real, party games are robust in color, and story modes are more intriguing. We hooked up Netflux and the Firestick to it, so we watch many different shows. It is extremely easy to use and the voice commands save time, as well. The sleek design looks great in our home and the biggest thing that we all said was wow regarding the size of the television. We laughed that it was like being at a drive in theater.
Nature shows that have moving wildlife and vast colors are amazing on this television. The sound is great and we don’t even need the sound bar. I would recommend this television to someone who wants the full features of what televisions can offer these days. The brand is high quality and the results of what we are watching are the proof.

    New Samsung Fanboy

I’ve been hooked with Samsung products since I bought my first 4k SUHD TV in 2015. That TV still has a great picture, which is now moved into another room to make way for the 2018 QLED Q8F 65″ behemoth! Definitely requires two people to unbox. I removed my 48″ from it’s wall mount in anticipation of putting the new one up. Unfortunately the top of the TV requires much longer screws for the mount and inserts. Ran to Lowe’s to pick up 2 M8 1.25×45 size bolts for it to work. In the meantime it’s on its included legs for the time being.

Set up was probably one of the easiest since I own a Galaxy S7 which utilizes SmartThings and probably cut remote time in half. I liked that it auto added my WiFi network, saving from having to poke at 20 characters for the password. Once setup was complete, I began programming channels with my OTA antenna. I have to say that this TV scanned and added the channels much faster than my other TV’s. I like that they also added some digital online Free TV channels (channel 1000+).

Because I use a Harmony Elite remote, I had to turn off the HDMI-CEC setting on the TV since it interfered with my Activities. When turning off my SHIELD TV while trying to switch to playing XBOX it would shut off the TV, then make it a hassle to switch that back on.

Picture quality on this TV is hands down one of the most vivid and sharp images of any TV I’ve ever used. Putting the TV out of the Energy Saving picture mode brings out more color and brightness. I would also recommend turning on the HDMI UHD Color for your Inputs, located under Settings in the main menu. This allows the TV to really shine and boast all the colors it was meant to show. If you are a gamer, having Game mode on this TV is great and actually smooth, and doesn’t seem to cause framerate drops or judder like other TVs i’ve used. This makes games more fluid with extremely minimal input lag for responsiveness if you’re into the FPS where milliseconds matter!

    Fantastic tv!

Love everything about this tv! The colors, rich contrast & blacks are superb. The remote control is so easy and intuitive. The design is nice with hiding the cords in the groves behind the set and inside of the feet stands. The sound is ok but I prefer my surround sound speakers. A little pricey but to me absolutely worth it.

    Feature packed QLED

I love this TV! Immediately after connecting it I rid myself of 2 extra remotes to control the stereo and my streaming device! This is a no-brainer easy to set up TV. The display is bright and vivid. The user interface is very practical and easy to understand and navigate. The hideaway cable system is simple and genius at the same time. I downloaded the Samsung smart things app on my phone which allows me to control TV functions and setting right on my cell without using the remote. I still have much more testing to do with some 4K videos from streaming and action cam sources, I am sure they will be even more impressive than the standard HD I’ve been watching thus far!

I have had the chance to playback some of my 4K content from my drone. The videos look absolutely stunning! The picture is so clear, crisp, and realistic that you feel like you’re looking through a window. Playback of my 4K videos from my SD card was also very simple, I just plugged in my usb adapter into the back of the TV inserted my sd into the adapter and done. All of the files were cataloged onscreen with options of how to organize and view the files. The QLED also creates thumbnails of the files so you have a snapshot of what the content is and I can easily navigate the options and thumbnails with the remote.
Watching the NBA finals on my QLED has been impressive as well, no shadows, blurs, or skipping even with all of the action.
TV shows and movies never looked this good before at home either. West World, Homeland, The Americans… all look better with the higher level of contrast and brighter picture.
I have been thoroughly impressed by this unit. My first experience with a true 4K UHD tv has raised the bar on what HD should look like now. Samsung’s QLED is smart, stylish, lightweight, full of features, and a requirement for any room where you enjoy watching a great picture.

Great Video, ARC constantly turns off

The TV is bright and gives great video performance. If you are deaf you will love this TV. If not, maybe rethink it. ARC constantly turns off and doesn’t recognize receiver and requires hard reset of the TV. If you have your tv mounted you know how much of a pain this is. Customer support does little to help and when they offer to get a tech to call you good luck. They don’t ever call. My old TV had good enough video that this TV will probably be returned, a TV that doesn’t provide sound to a receiver is worthless

Samsung Q8F F is for Fantastic

I’m coming from an 1080i 55inch TV. Which in 2006 was the top of the line set. As its well over 10 years old now – I’ve been in the market for new TV for quite awhile now. So with the opportunity to experience the latest from Samsung I jumped on it. And am I glad I did! Its amazing how far TVs have come. Thinner, lighter, brighter, and smarter. To be able to just talk to the remote in natural speak and have it do exactly what you want is great. Had it come with a universal remote would have been the icing on the cake. Setup is fairly easy and the on screen menus guide you through step by step. I ran into a little snag as I opted to hook it up through my AV receiver. Things got a little more difficult. Just as the Tv is smart so are modern receivers. They end up battling each other for dominance. which isn’t the greatest for the end user. and why I ended up deducting a star. It took some time to get everything wired up and working right. The TV didn’t want to give up its speakers (which do sound pretty amazing btw) for my surround sound set up. Finally the solve all was to use a digital audio cable. now all is good. So now that all is set up its time to check out what the Q8F and its quantum dots are all about. The Q8F comes loaded already with Netflix Amazon and many other platforms for music and movies. I opted to go with an action movie to test all the Samsung has to offer including Motion Blur and its Color Spectrum. Batman Dark Night is a great test with many dark scenes to test the shades of blacks. The TV did not disappoint it handled what the movie threw at it beautifully no lags no blur only a crisp clear picture. I was impressed! The other thing that is impressive is the Ambient mode setting. What a great idea! To show artwork in a way that looks realistic. I haven’t figured out how to add my own images but that could be because I spend most of the time using it for its main purpose. To quickly sum up the Q8F It is fantastic and beautiful both when its on and when its off.

So I got the 2018 aled about a couple weeks ago and man this picture is pretty amazing. Love the addition of Bixby makes searching or doing simple tasks on the TV so much easier. I do wish I had a couple more hdmi ports and I look forward to more apps to download. But overall I would reccomend this TV to anyone who loves to watch sports, movies and play video games.

    Samsung Q8 is pure awesomeness

have the pleasure of experiencing the new Samsung Q8 QLED television. I must say it shows the most beautiful picture that I have ever seen. I have a 4K television in my basement that I just purchased last year that I thought had a great picture, but now that I own the Q8, I see that the crispness of the picture doesn’t even compare. The television has dark blacks, bright whites and crisp colors. You get a great picture from any angle and the television will adjust to any lighting conditions. No only does the Q8 give a great picture, it is easy to set-up. It is literally a plug and play device. I was able to take the television out of the box, plug it up and have it set up within minutes. The remote control is sleek and easy to operate. The best part about this television is that even it you misplace your remote, you can operate it using your phone. You can also control any Smart items in your home from the television and phone and it even has voice control. The television came pre-installed with a lot of great apps that I use regularly like HULU, Netflix and Amazon. All of my subscriptions were setup and ready to go in now time.

The only con I have is that I don’t understand why Samsung decided to use the One Connect Box with the Q7 instead of the Q8 which is the higher end of the two. It would have been great to have the One Connect Box with this model or the capabilities to upgrade to the add-on. Otherwise, I can’t find one bad thing to say about the Q8. It has been a great addition to our home. We can’t wait to upgrade our game system to see what it really can do.

Beautiful TV with some annoying quirks

Summary of the forthcoming review: This TV is fantastic and I would highly recommend it, but it’s not perfect. The viewing angles are great, the panel itself is flawless, and the build quality is really solid. That said, the TV’s software lags a bit, the One Remote takes some getting used to, and Bixby is still just okay.

    Initial Setup:

Sizewise, this is a big, but pretty light TV so a team of 2 should be able to set it up without any issues. If you’re looking at the screen, all of the inputs are on the right side of the TV and the power cable comes out on the left. If you aren’t mounting it on the wall, the Q8F smartly routes the cables through the legs of the stand which was really helpful for keeping the back of the TV clean. I was able to put the HDMI cables for a PS4 Pro, Nintendo Switch, and Apple TV 4K through the stand without any issues. When you first turn the TV on it’ll run you through the initial setup and do things like setup the wifi. I ran into my first issue here because the 3rd step includes logging into a Samsung account if you have one. The problem was that it took about 3 minutes to bring up the prompt to actually login. Not a big issue, but standing there and being unable to do anything while it loaded up was annoying. Aside from that setup was quick and easy!

    Video Quality:

The video quality of the Q8F is fantastic. I wouldn’t say it’s as good as a high end OLED TV, but it’s very close and easily the best LED TV I’ve ever used. I’m not a fan of oversaturated colors so I had to make some initial adjustments to tailor it to my needs. Those changes took maybe 5 minutes, not a big deal. My panel itself was perfect with no stuck pixels or any

    Software & One Remote:

I don’t know if it’s a remote issue or a TV software issue, but when I press the Home button it lags. When I try to get to the app listing or change sources, it lags. Sometimes it’s a few seconds, and sometimes I have to exit out of the bar and try it again in a minute or so. If I’m not switching between sources, the TV runs fine, but switching from PS4 to Apple TV can be a hassle. I wish the remote had a button to just switch between inputs. That would make my life so much easier. Definitely not a deal breaker and I haven’t had issues once the input is selected, but switching around can be a headache.

Still reading? Cool! Last note, if you have any concerns about OLEDs, this TV is a fantastic alternative. I’ve really enjoyed mine and would buy it again

    Bought after returning OLED

We bought this model after returning an LG OLED due to problems with reflections in screen. We have a very open, bright family room, and while in a dark room the OLED was beautiful, it was terrible in daytime viewing. Samsung has done a great job minimizing reflection, and the picture quality and color quality seems to be equal to the OLED. We are very happy to have found the Q8FN!

    Wonderful image

When I started to look for a TV for my 2018 home theater build I just knew that it would be a an OLED tv. Once I started to review the pros and cons of the the tv with the “best” picture, value reliability I decided to go with the Samsung Q8FN. After having the TV for about a month and a half now 7-16-2018 I can honestly say I am not disappointed. My main reason for choosing QLED over OLED was the possibility of burning, I fell asleep once and the tv was left on with a fixed image for my receiver but not a problem at all. I actually know someone with an OLED tv that wasn’t as fortunate as me. I really think I will be enjoying the tv for a long time.

Compared the OLED and QLED and the Q hands down is so much better! Better color and also no worries about burn in after extended use. Has all the apps and set up was very easy. You will definitely need a sound bar and I am currently researching which one to purchase. This was hung on the wall with a tilt/extend mount so as ease of hooking up cables and to give it the desired 5 degree tilt down. Overall I feel the best TV to date! Thank you.

    2018 q8.. thumbs up!!

I really only have ONE NEGATIVE thing to say about the tv, and that is the PRICE. As a household with 7 samsung tvs, I expect a lot from my equipment. And yes, I love sports and movies so i want to have everything easily accessible WITH GREAT PICTURES. I had purchased a 78″ js9500 a couple years earlier, and am still a bit disappointed with some of the features and output. Samsung has not really kept the apps updated and replenished for their older model tvs. The 2018 q8 leaves little to be desired. I would have assumed it would include the one connect box, but they left that feature out for some head scratching reason. I’m disappointed that Samsung has not treated me more like the AWESOME customer i am, but that is another story. If you want a GREAT tv without having to worry of burn-in issues or quick brightness loss, then i suggest the 2018 q8. Just try to find a good price point because they are not cheap.

    Great TV, but

I love the new tv. But some issues bug me. It took me weeks to get the picture sorted out and the sound is still a touch off with voice syncing. The bigissue is with sports. Sometimes it’s great, sometimes it’s frustrating. I have Directv, so it could be that, but motion is still an issue. I think everything could be cured witha software update.

This TV has tremendous color and clarity and is worth every penny we paid. However, being senior citizens we have lost a substantial portion of our hearing and even with hearing aids a good sound bar is needed to clear up the audio portion of any show. Now I know some of the problem resides with the producer of any given show, that does not excuse Samsung.

Unboxing gas great and set up was very easy with samsung galaxy. Picture quality looks awesome with xbox one S. Sound is good and powerful but nothing different than average new tv, connecting a good sound bar makes a whole difference for better experience.

Tv comes with one remote which is great, but quality of buttons and material could be better. Also bixby is present for navigating through hub, not a fan of this samsung feature, is not reliable.

Also notice that reception for local tv is bad, you need to invest on good quality antenna.

Down side is that this model doesn’t have the One Connect Box for the invisible cable that samsung features, but solved the issue by installing some mount cable organizer boxes on wall, not having this feature should lower the price on this model.; Also you can’t use the Samsung no gap wall mount on this particular model.

Overall I’m very pleased with this purchase, I’m very satisfied, tv is expensive but I recomend looking for specials at samsung with no interest for couple of months.

    Samsung 65 inch Q8 review

The Q8FN is great TV with excellent contrast ratio. It is the best LED tv one can get on the market. The full array dimming feature works pretty well and produces deep blacks. The color gamut is pretty wide and this tv produces a picture that is more colourful that most of the other tv’s on the market, looks like qleds really work. The images are crisp and sharp, the HDR feature is pretty good at revealing fine details in the shadows. This is one of the few tv’s that have very high peak SDR/HDR brightness so it is good for bright living rooms. The ambient mode is a cool add on and it actually useful as there is no risk of burn in as with OLED.

    Fantastic TV!

This TV is a huge improvement from last years model. The huge improvements are local dimming, contrast, color accuracy and saturation. Last years local dimming was a little disappointing, but with this year’s improvements to the local dimming, it improves the contrasts and it also produces much deeper blacks than last year’s model which is fantastic! The blacks aren’t OLED levels but it does produce very deep blacks for an LED TV. The quantum dots technology allows the TV to produce very saturated colors which is very nice especially when displaying HDR content. The only thing that needs some improvment TV is the ambient mode and a slightly better algorithm for their local dimming. Other than these two problems which aren’t actual problems, I just need some improvement, this TV would be the even better than it already is. So far this TV is great and I have no regrets, I would definitely recommend this TV to anybody that I meet, one of the best TVs I have ever had! Samsung keep it up!

    Amazing TV

I love my TV! The remote is very easy to use. The picture is clear and crisp, and I was surprised that the sound from the TV is so clear and undistorted. I normally use a sound bar with my TVs, but I haven’t seen the need to use one with this.

    Excellent buy for the money

What would make this a perfect TV would be adding Android TV as the user interface. Other than that, picture is perfect in 4k and UHD images. Sound is superb with a bit of bass. Most TV’s don’t have that bass in their units. The Picture mode is in it’s early stages but could be improved. Due to the “Customizeable” option is a bit of a challenge. But I’m sure there will be a better version in the works. One complaint I have is the power cord. It’s too short! Iove the “One controller” feature it’s nice to finally have one controller by your side again. The only problem on that it’s a bit small so it’s easier to lose. Overall I love this TV!

    SAMSUNG 65″ 4K

I have had a Samsung 55″ HD TV for about 5-6 years that i have really enjoyed, but the clarity and detail on this 4K TV is so much better. You notice things that you wouldn’t have before and I’m sure that I don’t even realize some of the things I see. If you are looking for a great TV, this is the one!

Cool as the other side of the pillow…

We are not theater people, but the TV gives us the experience without leaving our home. Large screen, HDTV is excellent. BEST TV YET!!!

    Awesome t.v.

This t.v. is perfect in every way! The picture is so clear, even on an old channel or DVD. We bought this because our skylight is in the living room and is so bright and this t.v. adjusts itself to the light. The speakers are loud, we didn’t need to put on the sound bar. It set up all these different apps. Just a great t.v. worth the price.

Blown Away! I Love My First Samsung TV

So happy with my purchase! I was looking to replace an old TV with a new Smart TV. I heard about this TV from a friend that really loved its performance and technology. I’m so glad I went with the recommendation.

First, I’m blown away by the High Definition and Color! I can’t believe what I was missing all this time with my old TV. The picture is high quality from edge to edge and the colors are so bright and realistic. What’s also incredible is the depth of the black and shades of black. They really enhance the quality of the image.

I tested out the TV with several 4K movies to see how it would perform and they look amazing on this! You can see all details and the images are so crisp! It looks like a live image. You can even see all of the shadows and detail even with some of the darker programs, even in a bright room. I was re-watching the Avatar movie and it looked so fantastic on this TV.

Second, the speakers deliver such deep and rich sound quality. No need for surround sound system with this TV.

Also, the TV set up is so intuitive and easy. I’m not tech savvy and it’s great that the TV is so easy to set up. It automatically connected to my home network and guided me through a few steps to get our Netflix, Prime TV, HULU and YouTube set up. The remote control is streamlined and also super easy to use. I haven’t used the app yet but excited for the option.

This TV is SIMPLY BEAUTIFUL! The TV itself is so thin and beautiful to look at! The border is so thin the picture looks like it goes from edge to edge.

Samsung delivers a fantastic, high quality product with the Q8 QLED. So happy I made this purcha

Vertical Banding and broken back plate defect

so the picture is great during bright viewing areas but at night it really starts showing its problems during gamemode I get lots of vertical banding not so much on other mode. Mined you its during dark scenes and during the day it is not a problem with the picture looks gorgeous, there is also a dirty screen effect on my particular set but it’s not very noticeable. The TV is my second one already I had to return my first one because of vertical banding as well. This one has a plate in the back where you say the USB and audio input is coming apart, also the vertical banding is still present thought not as bad as the first set.

Artificial looking picture. Service is worse

Bought this a little over two months ago and sort I did. Picture does not compare to my 3yr old LG OLED and the panel has failed resulting in missing what will be 3 days of work waiting for it to be repaired. Based on how long I had it I should get a new TV not a repaired one.

Turned on TV on Sunday and there was a white line across the screen towards the bottom. En entire row of horizontal pixels was not working, and in one spot, 3 pixels vertically were out. Best screen yet

Just installed the TV. Loved the screen protector out of the box. Made me feel good about handling until completely installed. Screen is amazingly crisp. A big improvement over mt 65 inch 8500 curved Samsung. The Samsung smart set up was easy. The integrated prime and Netflix buttons in the remote is great. It does pixel when local commercials come on. Otherwise a solid improvement.

    Not as good as expected/hoped

I have had this set for two months now. There are times when I am really impressed with the clarity, color, and processing of the images, but there has also been multiple occasions (probably at least once or twice a day), where I easily notice the “dirty screen effect” of shadowed dark lines running vertical throughout the TV. Really noticeable on images with a lot of one color, such as golf (green) or hockey (white). Super frustrating since this wasn’t something I had on my 9 year old Sony Bravia this set replaced. Also, there have been multiple times during movies or dark shows where you can tell the tv cannot figure out whether to dim the local zone or not so you get a smattering of black geometric sections flickering on and off. I have messed with all of the settings and options and I still have these issues. Lastly, this model does not work with ANY of the Samsung special flat mounts for QLEDs. None of them. It is super confusing and Samsung’s own customer service rep told me they did work only to later find out, after purchasing of course, that they don’t. Sad to say I regret buying this TV.
