    Nice TV

I’ve had this tv a cpl weeks now, I really like really good picture quality and is very good for gaming, has a a flaw in Auto Game mode though, it wants to throw itself in and outta of game mode while ur playing, when this happens it goes to a black screen for a cpl seconds then comes back on, the fix I found was putting it in game mode manually, hopefully Samsung will update this soon though.

The no gap wall mount and clean cable soulutin made for a clean finished product. I highly recommend this TV to any sports fan!

I’m in love with this TV!!

I never knew life could be so good. I bought this TV to replace an old DLP projection TV. I paired it with 4K Blu-ray player and watched a 4K movie. I almost had tears in my eyes. The picture is outstanding. The colors are so distinct and vivid. Add to this, all the features available, the easy connectivity and the awesome remote control. I use one remote now instead of two or three. I’m sure I will enjoy this TV up until it’s time for a new one. Great job Samsung!

this is good midlevel TV. If you are looking for blacks that are truly black and not dark grey, this TV isn’t for you. If you are looking for a TV that does a good job and has good quality, this is the TV for you. It is an edge lit LED so there are restrictions to the quality that higher priced TVs offer. QLED is King

OLED is only slightly better with true 4k UHD source material and they have a wider viewing angle, so their picture is sharp at a wider angle. But OLED is totally subject to burn in artifacts, even if you don’t use it for your PC. CBS logos and any other static things burn in within months and nobody will not cover burn in on their factory warranty without a fight. They finally caved in and I was able to get the spanking brand new QLED tech with a lifetime warranty against burn-in with Samsung. I thought we concurred burn-in 5 years or more ago. NOT. I am usually looking straight at it, so angle looking is not an issue for me. And if you compare QLED with OLED side by side with the same source, I dare you to notice the difference. Top notch new tech that Samsung jumped on I think first. You won’t be sorry.

Purchased this to replace a Sony smart-tv and am quite pleased with performance and overall ease of setting it up. Users Guide is a little vague in places compared to previous versions of Samsung user guides. Only issue I have(still) is the synch between video and audio streams. I have replaced HDMI cables and it has helped.

Screen quality is excellent both sharpness and color rendering.

    Great product

The size, quality of the Tv surprised me in its clarity and motion handling performance are exceptional. The packaging was pretty good but the only issue was in assembling the TV stand. You have to pop off this black piece to access the area where you screw it in to the stand. No where in the directions does it mention this. The smart remote and voice assistance make using the TV a breeze. The no gap wall mount and clean cable soulution makes for a very clean finished product. The colors stand out, the dark scenes are very distinguishable and there is no input lag when playing. I’ve experienced no blur issues when dealing with fast moving scenes in either game mode or thru regular movies viewing. The menu is easy to navigate from one section to the next and back to live TV. I did not experience and lag in switching apps.

Sound was good with just the TV speakers.

The TV and stand are sleek but the wall mounting was difficult with the mount I had. Note, it was not a Samsung wall mount. The image is crisp and I’m happy to be playing a PS4 Pro on it. I find that Bixby can be sluggish and intermittently fails to connect to the server, especially when first turning it on. Additionally, it can’t be used while Netflix is open. The user experience otherwise is intuitive enough that my 4 year old knows how to navigate the TV. Overallhe price I’m quite content.

This is the first TV I’ve purchased in 5 years and can’t believe how far the picture quality has come since the last purchase. The smart display senses which devices are plugged in and controls them with the remote that comes included. This creates an incredibly intuitive user experience with no need for multiple remotes for multiple devices as you can access everything on one. The set up took maybe 10-15 minutes the majority of that time was logging into the streaming apps.

The no gap wall mount and clean cable solution makes for an incredibly clean finished product. I’m extremely happy with the purchase. Now I just have to hurry up and wait patiently for the football season to start. SKOL Vikes!

I really like the feel and functionality of the smart remote and found it to be enjoyable to use. I watched golf and soccer and the picture quality really is fantastic. It’s definitely a great TV for gaming given the 4K HD picture quality. I would recommend to anyone interested in updating their gaming and entertainment

    Extremely happy…

I purchased this 55” 4K UHD to replace an older model in my bedroom. I was attracted to Samsung this time around based on recent reviews, specifically regarding ease of use and set-up. This new model does not disappoint in that department; controls and menus are simple, clean and remarkably intuitive and set up couldn’t have been more straightforward.

While I’m sure the QLED picture is next-level, this 4K UHD is surpassing my expectations. The bezel is very thin, and the side profile is sharp and crisp.

Overall, the build quality looks and feels great. The tiny remote will take some getting used to, but feels balanced and well thought out; I’m pretty certain it’ll feel just right in time.

Based on my experience thus far, this is unquestionably the best looking & performing TV I’ve ever owned.

Have to give a huge shout out to Samsung for the great experience we’ve had with our NEW 55″ NU8000 Preium Smart 4K UHD TV. From the moment we took it out of the box, it has been so easy to use and enjoy thanks to the Samsung SMART remote and voice assistance feature.

The 4k Ultra HD picture quality is beautiful. Samsung continues to exceed our standard of excellence set by our previous Samsung TV. With its wide viewing angle, it makes the viewing experience on thhis 55” TV feel more like a 75”+! The slim bezel coupled with the clean cable solution gives a sleek and clean look and eliminate the eye sore that exposed wires from other TVs. Easily the best purchase we have made in quite some time.

    High quality viewing experience

The Samsung NU8000 came packaged so cleanly and well organized it made the unpacking and overall setup process a breeze. This is my first TV with built in WIFI. The TV quickly identified my network and I was logged in and finding my apps in no time. I use DirectTV Now as a streaming service which is one of the many prepopulated apps on the TV. Just a power cord to be up and running with live TV and Netflix? Awesome.

Picture quality is as great. Beautiful color, deep blacks that contrast with bright colors. Very impressed by the motion responsiveness, no blur when watching sports or fast action. I like the simplicity of the remote, easy to use and navigate without having to stare at it to find the button you want. Just use the onscreen guides…similar to Apple TV, Roku, etc.

Overall I am pleased with this purchase. Looking forward to watching football this fall.

I bought this TV as my first real purchase with my first paycheck of my first job out of college, and I LOVE IT!!! The picture is amazing and it is super thin and was really easy to set up (although i had my dad help). I love the voice remote and search features and the navigation is really intuitive. I am not a super nerd techy use every feature kinda gal, but It is fun to have robust features available to me. I pretty much stream everything, not really a cable person, so having all my favorite apps already there made this really convenient to me. So you have to get this TV, its amazing

The enduring nightmare since then to try to get support to discuss the correct size and length of screw has been such a nightmare I returned the TV. How can you not include information. let alone the correct size screws, to hang a flat screen on the wall like most people have in their homes today,

I love watching movies in a dark room and this TV gives a satisfying deep black with crisp colors that actually pop the screen. There were no observed clouding and I also like all the extra features EXCEPT THAT THERE IS NO DTS AND DIVX SUPPORT! Come on Samsung, even your entry level and mid range TVs from 2016 are all full packed with features how one this lack the very basic DTS and DIVX support?! I am so dissapointed that I only get PCM from normal sources compared to my 2016 KU6500 that converts audio files to DTS Neo! As a result I get bad sound quality when using Spotify and from other apps that don’t support Dolby! I hope this gets fixed. I am thinking of returning this TV in exchange of an LG or a Sony!!

Awesome picture, sound quality and remote control

This TV delivers excellent picture quality and with sub-woofer the sound system is great. I had Sony XBR-900E so I can compare few things very cleary:
    1. It’s so easy to use, everything is in one place. The TV OS is very user-friendly, fast, no significant delay to load application or switching in between apps.
    2. Premium UHD delivers crisp picture quality, picture looks more vibrant, black looks real black.
    3. Sound is clear and much better then another TV sound system for this class.
    4. Local channels with antenna is great, the receiver is stronger then Sony XBR-900E.
    5. The one remote control fits in your hand and smaller then any other TV remotes and does a lot of thing. Brilliant implantation of simple but great design for powerful remote management. Thumbs up for the remote.

I’ve had this TV for 2 days now, and am unimpressed. It was easy to set up, but remote control is very annoying. I understand how to use it, just don’t like it at all. The picture quality isn’t what I saw in photos. If I keep motion + on, it has better color/sharper image but has the awful soap opera effect, which makes everything look fake like a cartoon or something. If I turn motion + off, the picture quality is lost, and people’s lips don’t match with the sound, sort of like old Japanese movies. I’ve tried resetting as well, this TV just isn’t worth the price.

I recently purchased the Samsung UHD NU8000 8 Series 55″TV on black Friday. The picture quality is not what I expected, the imagines on the screen is not smooth as expected. During certain programs, the images on screen move inconsistently and smoothly, they briefly move faster as if the picture is trying to catchup to the sound. This is hard to describe. It is more noticable when objects move faster than other images. I have an older Sharp brand flat screen and in many ways, the picture quality is better on the Sharp than my new Samsung TV. I am disappointed to say the least but the hassle of returning it is enough to not return it.

Set up the new unit, and after 2-3 days had a full veritical dead pixel line just off center to the right. Again, I called BB and this time they delivered a new unit to my home. I’m hoping this unit will be free from defects. If not, going with another TV/brand.

Fantastic quality for $1k Xmas price tag.

I did a couple of weeks research and found the huge range of price, quality and size complicated decision making. In the end I couldn’t justify spending an extra $k or 2 or 3 for the incremental quality. Going from my 37” Sharp Aquos to 55”, more than doubling the picture area, was overwhelming enough. Very happy so far.

    Adware, Bloatware, Anti-Consumer

Slow glitchy bad software. Riddled with bloatware and ads. Auto plays some app called TV Plus when I power off any device connected via HDMI and I can’t delete TV Plus or prevent it from launching. Had the TV for about a month and the software reset to factory default three times in the period without explanation. Returning it was easy though so props to Walmart. Picture quality was hit or miss. Required a lot of settings adjustment to get things to look right. Too many post process “enhancements” enabled by default.

This TV has all the bells and whistles. Intuitive setup, full array of apps and a good looking picture. Standard settings and lots of options to play with. I prefer default settings and the picture does not disappoint. The TV is bright so don’t hesitate to leave the auto lighting feature on to tone down the back lighting in the evening.

This TV and in particular the smart hub and apps performs best on a 5GHz network, by itself. A good fast internet connection is a must in order to take advantage of the built in apps.

HDR looks great, albeit at first dark! Again this can be finicky to start with but I found viewing in Standard with no changes works well.

The chassis is slender and well balanced. The cable managment really hides unsightly cords.

The remote is very smart and intuitive. I found it very easy to run all my gear using the Samsung remote.

    Some issues

Don’t get me wrong. Love this tv when it’s working properly. I had to go 3 stars cuz of quality. Have had for 11 months. About 6 months in I started hearing a strange electrical noise coming from the one connect box. Which can get very warm I might add. Shortly after that the tv started giving me a black screen about every 5-10 minutes. It would remain black for about 3-5 seconds. Apparently a common problem if you google? In the process of warranting.

    Frustration x 3

Samsung, like Mitsubishi, has gotten its greedy hands into everything, so now its prior strength, TVs, is faltering. First, my tv came with a warped cabinet from the factory. Apparently quality control was drunk back from lunch and didn’t reject it. Samsung also has a reputation for flickering and judder, and my unit is no exception, in which the Auto Motion Plus feature must be turned off to work best, which is counter intuitive. The feature exists to fix the problem, but not using it fixes the problem for the most part! Using it makes the problems worse! Finally, if you ever disconnect the tv from the cable box by properly turning off power, and disconnecting all cables and wires at both ends and reconnecting them, you have to go through initial setup protocol all over. And nothing is automatic — you must manually input the device for it to work with it. And even though I went through setup and it tells me identification is complete, it’s lying to you! It knows there is something connected to the port, but it still doesn’t recognize it despite telling you that ID is complete! I never have such a hassle with my LG 4k. Right now, I despise this tv, and all the great site reviews are bought and paid for as far as I’m concerned. Oh, lest I forget, the tv stand is over-designed and clumsy to install.

    Awesome Picture + Voice Control

I purchased this about a month ago to replace an older Samsung model (“only” 43-inches). I have been quite please with the picture quality and the voice remote is great but does require some time to get used to. It’s kind of like going from DOS to Windows on your PC.
My only disappointment was in Bluetooth mouse support. I expected this to work in all windows and applications. Alas, it does not. It only works in the Samsung “Internet” application. Come on Samsung, you can do better!
Overall this TV is a great value.

    Excellent picture, but….

There is bug in the firmware such that the TV will not correctly display the source resolution. Whenever I press the TV’s color-dots button and then choose “info”, the TV does one of 2 things:
    1) If my Samsung Ultra BluRay is on, it “info’s” the BlueRay, not the TV’s info.
    2) If my Samsung Ultra BluRay is not on, it displays the HDMI 1 input resolution, regardless of the source that is currently connected.
